Jamones Blazquez is a third generation company. Founded in 1930 in Salamanca, Spain is today one of the most recognized companies in Iberian Jam and pork sausage.

The Challenge

One of the most fulfilling experiences in the design world is working with traditional companies that have stood the test of time. These companies have weathered the ups and downs of the market and have kept their doors open for generations. That is why we were incredibly honored to work with Jamones Blazquez, a family-owned business that has been producing high-quality cured meats for over 100 years.

Jamones Blazquez had always been a local favorite, but they were looking to expand internationally and establish a presence online. That is where we came in. We helped them create a space on the internet that showcased their history, their products, and their values. We focused on creating an interactive experience that would engage users and highlight the unique qualities of their products.

Our team worked on every aspect of the project, from user experience to visual design. We also created a full content strategy and production, which included everything from photography to videos. We even took pictures of the pigs and shot drone footage of the fields to give users a sense of the company s origins and commitment to quality.

It was a challenging project, but one that we were proud to take on. Helping a traditional company like Jamones Blazquez expand and thrive in the digital age was an experience that we will always treasure.

Designing a didactic storytelling approach for a third-generation company

In order to create a compelling narrative for Jamones Blazquez, we enlisted the help of Juan Carlos Milena, a seasoned Spanish journalist with a talent for storytelling. We knew that to capture the company's essence truly, we needed to go beyond just showcasing its products and history. We needed to create a story that would engage and resonate with their audience.

Juan Carlos dove deep into Jamones Blazquez, interviewing employees, researching the company s history, and immersing himself in the processes that make their products so special. He found the right balance between highlighting the traditional values that have made Jamones Blazquez a beloved company for over 90 years and acknowledging the need to adapt to the demands of a digital world and a global market.

Through his writing, Juan Carlos brought to life the people behind the products, the passion and dedication that goes into every step of the process, and the deep roots that Jamones Blazquez has in its community.
